Tony Castle
We’re a young family living on a large outback property on the scenic Weir River. We’re fortunate to call this beautiful part of the world home — a mix of open grazing country running into brigalow timber and down into lightly forested river country. We’re 40 minutes from both Goondiwindi and Moonie and can pick you up from town.
We have a fully separate, recently renovated 4-bedroom house for you to stay in, with unlimited wifi starlink available.
We run a diverse operation — stud cattle, cropping, and breeding cattle and horses. There’s something here to interest everybody!

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We’re a very easy-going bunch who have a good time, and we’re looking for like-minded people to help out and learn along the way. We enjoy passing on the knowledge we’ve gained over the years.
We often get together on weekends for BBQs, and make the most of our beautiful area — camping, swimming, and weekend picnics along the river, plus skiing at our large ski lagoon.
If you come out and help us, depending on the time of year, you’ll get a mix of general farm work — cattle, fencing, horses, and farm maintenance. We try to keep things fun and interesting for everyone, and we all get along really well — it’s a great work environment.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We use a regenerative grazing method, rotating out cattle and restoring the land naturally.
