Why I became a WWOOF Host

We became a WWOOF host to share our love of rural living, good food and the connection between land and what ends up on the table. As a family with strong farming roots, we value hands on learning, meaningful experiences and the simple rhythm of life in the country.
Hosting WWOOFers gives us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, share skills and stories, and offer a genuine insight into Australian lifestyle properties and small scale farming. We hope to create a welcoming environment where people feel part of the family, learn something new and leave with a deeper appreciation for where food comes from.
For us, it is about connection, exchange and creating a memorable experience for everyone who stays with us.

Organic/Biological methods we use

While we are not certified organic, we are deeply committed to natural, sustainable and responsible farming practices across our family operations.
Across our Berry property, we follow similar principles in our gardens and land care. We use minimal intervention methods, prioritise natural inputs where possible and focus on maintaining healthy soil, biodiversity and a balanced environment. Composting, mulching and thoughtful land management are all part of how we care for the property.
Our approach is centred around working with nature, not against it, producing high quality food while respecting the land for future generations.
