Why I became a WWOOF Host

I became a WWOOF host after the major floods that affected our area a few years ago. Like many properties in the region, there was a lot of work involved in restoring and caring for the land. What started as a practical need soon became something much more meaningful.
I enjoy meeting people from different countries and backgrounds, sharing experiences, learning from one another, and creating genuine connections. Hosting WWOOFers brings fresh energy, new ideas and a sense of community to the property.
I believe that living close to nature, working outdoors and sharing skills can be a rewarding experience for everyone involved. My goal is to provide a welcoming, relaxed environment where people can learn, contribute, enjoy the beauty of the Byron Shire hinterland and create lasting memories.
