Temmina (Tammy) Kuijpers
We own a small bush block with lots of gum trees. There are two dwellings on our property; we live in one and we have a fully self contained flat for our guests. We would appreciate some assistance with landscaping, preparing firewood for winter and planting native trees. I am a full-time potter and I tutor workshops from my studio as well as from other venues closer to Port Macquarie therefore I could do with a helping hand with pottery projects and workshops. We do not have pets because we like to encourage the wild life, especially the Australian bird life.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I was a WWOOF host in New Zealand for several years before moving to Australia in 2020. I enjoyed meeting lots of lovely people from different parts of the world. For the most part they were very helpful and some of them came back several times and some also stayed for several months. I’d like to invite WWOOFers to come and stay with us to experience staying on a small bush block near some beautiful beaches. We are very proud of where we live and we are happy to show volunteers some of our favourite spots on the Mid North Coast. We have recently completed a new 12 m x 6 m pottery workshop and there is still some finishing work to do such as creating paths and gardens, and of course I always appreciate help with pottery projects or assistance when tutoring a pottery workshop.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We are creating organic vegetable gardens using our own compost and we will be planting more native trees this year.
