Glenview Gardens Function Centre is a country-style venue which has THREE separate sections.
SECTION 1 – the front of house has a cafe, expansive deck with meeting and event facilities set amidst lush, peaceful gardens. However, this front of house section is now closed to be upgraded.
SECTION 2 – The accommodation section has permanent residents in their own private studios or vans. This is not a party house, but a peaceful, casual place for the residents to call home.
SECTION 3 – Communal area is for backpackers, WWOOFers and residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors in a communal setting. Currently, we offer a central garden area which is surrounded by palm trees with night lighting. A lovely lit stage (for private functions) when not in use, becomes the enclosed lounge with TV. There is a coffee van and BBQ for use by backpackers/WWOOfers and residents. A furnished, two room tent with linen is now available.
Future plans will include a two-bed popup and two separate rooms. There will be a games room built as well as a new ablution block. Offered now, is a large swimming pool which is being landscaped. A well stocked communal kitchen with kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, etc., an onsite laundry and basic ablution block which is just a short walk from the communal garden. Please note that the property offers a quiet, country-style atmosphere—it is not modern urban living.
Many areas including gardens need maintenance and redesigning. The project needs work and upgrading. We will appreciate any help in a relaxed rural/residential setting.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

Put simply….my husband and I are elderly and need help on our property. With the assistance of our caretaker, gardener and groundsperson, we are in the process of upgrading our services, e.g. accommodation and ablution block. We are building a communal recreational area to attract socially minded people who are happy to stay for a period of time.

Organic/Biological methods we use

I engaged Aaron as my site manager for improving the venue. Aaron is an organic experienced gardener. He likes to apply and develop many different approaches to regenerative practices. He has excellent knowledge of organic and biological methods which is what he is putting into practice on my small acreage property.
