The property is located 5km from a small village with shop. 25km from beaches on the far south coast of NSW. 40 acres mainly bush with permanent creek. 5 cleared acres for orchard and vegetable gardens, hot house for propagation, bee hives. Separate 2 bedroom cottage for visitors. Food and utilities provided and a shared vehicle if needed.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I have a number of projects I would like to commence but need some help. I’ve always loved travelling and meeting new people and this is a wonderful way of making new connections. My property is very beautiful and I would enjoy sharing with like minded people.

Organic/Biological methods we use

As I am now retired from ful-time work it is time to concentrate on becoming more self-sufficient. Composting and worm farming are two areas I need to increase and improve. Propagation using a variety of methods including seed collection and cuttings. The establishment of a nursery is in its infancy and the aim is production for my own use and surplus for friends and retail at local markets. While maintenance of established gardens is ongoing I also have a number of new projects. Bringing in other people’s expertise, ideas and physical skills has always been something I have hoped to achieve. I use a combination of companion planting, no-dig garden beds, soil health and non-chemical means for control of snails, moths etc.
