My beautiful 1500 acre property is only 2.5 hrs n/w of Brisbane but seems quite remote, the nearest neighbor being 4 k,s away. Although we treasure our numerous native wildlife here, we do welcome visitors who enjoy our property for various outdoor activities including bushwalking, family camp trips and a little hunting etc.
A large proportion of our food is sourced from our place however regular trips to our nearest transport in Gympie allows for suitable drop /offs and pick/ups.
There is good internet access here. I am more than happy tp pass on many years (50)of bush knowledge to inquiring minds and would welcome the opportunity, in return for some assistance here, including some technology assistance.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

Living relatively remotely often doesn’t present opportunities to meet and share with people from different cultures so at 79y/o I am taking them, hopefully to the benefit of both of us.

Organic/Biological methods we use

In happy valley we value making the most of our resources, in our little farm everything has a use! the sheep and chicken poop goes straight to our gardens where we grow all our natural produce. We use the Rhodes grass that’s cut from our slasher and put it towards compost for later. We love to repurpose and reuse!
