Roscommon is a small (50 acre) farmlet in the Hunter Valley, north of Sydney. The property is located approximately 13 km from maitland train station, 40 minutes from Newcastle and 20 minutes from the Hunter Valley Wine Region.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I Joined WWoof to meet new and interesting people who are interested in learning new skills and share their skills also. As a retired builder, I have many projects on the go and enjoy being able to teach people how to use tools to make and build.

Organic/Biological methods we use

Our farming philosophy at Roscommon is based on regenerative farming and the extensive gardens planted here encourage all forms of wildlife including native birds (King Parrots, Cockatoos, Lorikeets and Rosellas), wallabys, kangaroos, goannas, echidnas and many more.
