Corella is a small farm stay and commercial meat goat business in the Queensland Grasslands between Julia Creek and Richmond. Our tourist season is between April and the October. We serve meals to guests, have a small kiosk/ shop and sell produce (Goat meat, vegetables and preserves) to the public and maintain our goat herd. WE are also wildlife carers.
We enjoy the cultural exchange that wwoofer helpers can provide and as we have no other staff we rely on such helpers to assist in a range of tasks over the year particularly during April to October. I like working alongside a range of different aged people and those from a range of cultures. As we don’t travel much it is a joy to host helpers on our property and share the joy of being in a natural setting with free ranging animals.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We use aspects of permaculture and regenerative farming where needed and raise our goat herd using low stress methods. Regenerative grazing and compassionate husbandry is important principles on our farm.
