Barrabup Sanctuary is a peaceful bush property nestled amongst the tall forests of South Western Australia, just outside of Nannup. Previously a licensed Hemp Farm although not currently growing Hemp. Our home is centred around medicinal beekeeping, regenerative living, nourishing food, natural fibre crafts and a slower rhythm connected to land and seasons.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

By becoming WWOOF hosts, we hope to create meaningful cultural exchange, share practical and traditional skills and build genuine connections with people from around the world who are interested in regenerative living and a deeper relationship with nature. Barrabup Sanctuary is growing and evolving and we hope to offer people valuable experiences in being apart of that along with of slowing down and being in nature. At the same time we value the knowledge, stories, perspectives and skills that travellers bring with them.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We follow Organic, regenerative and permaculture principles that work with nature. We avoid synthetic chemicals, herbicides, pesticides and unnecessary interventions. Our beekeeping approach is natural and beecentric with a focus on allowing the bees to express their natural behaviours.
